The Challenge

Bantu Agency had grown beyond the business represented by its existing website. Its Australian operation was established, its African presence was growing, and the agency was preparing to expand into the UAE and wider Middle East. The website still centred on Australia.

The previous Squarespace site also created practical obstacles. Broken links interrupted important journeys, regional services were difficult to distinguish, and a generic application process left the team with manual administration. Candidates looking for opportunities and employers looking for talent did not have clearly separated routes.

The brief was to rebuild the website around the agency’s regional structure and its two main audiences, while giving Bantu’s team more control over vacancies, articles and everyday content updates.

Our Approach

We started with information architecture: how should three regional markets work together under one brand, and what does each visitor need to do? That structure guided the design, copy and WordPress build.

One global website, with room for each region

We created dedicated sections for Australia, Africa and the UAE and wider Middle East within one connected website. Australia remains first in the regional hierarchy, reflecting the agency’s established operation and primary domain. The African and Middle Eastern sections have space for their own services, sectors, vacancies and contact routes.

This gives Bantu a consistent global identity without forcing every market to carry the same message. The structure can accommodate regional content as each operation develops.

Two clear journeys: find work or hire talent

Candidates enter through Find Jobs; employers enter through Hire Talent or Request Talent. Separating those routes makes the next step clear from the homepage rather than asking both audiences to work through the same generic information.

  • Candidate journey: browse and filter vacancies, review a structured job page, and follow the appropriate application route.
  • Employer journey: explore regional capabilities and sector experience, then submit a talent requirement to the relevant team.

Vacancy cards surface location, region, work type, sector and job reference. Individual job pages organise the role overview, responsibilities and requirements before the application step. Regional routing is designed to direct applications to the appropriate Bantu office.

A visual system that works across devices

We refined Bantu’s black, gold and neutral palette into a consistent system for navigation, content sections, vacancy cards and calls to action. Responsive layouts carry the same hierarchy across desktop, tablet and mobile, keeping both candidate and employer routes visible.

What we delivered

  • UX strategy, page architecture and copy structured around regional markets and visitor needs.
  • A custom WordPress website with dedicated Australia, Africa and UAE & Middle East sections.
  • Dynamic vacancy listings with filtering and pagination, structured job pages and regional application routes.
  • Employer capability pages, enquiry routes and talent-request forms.
  • Company, leadership, mission and team content within a consistent brand presentation.
  • An Insights area with featured stories, article archives and pagination.
  • Recruitment-fraud guidance and candidate-protection messaging, alongside privacy, accessibility and terms pages.
  • Search-friendly page organisation and technical SEO foundations.

Content Bantu can manage internally

We moved the site from Squarespace to WordPress to give the team more control over regional content, vacancies and articles. Vacancies and Insights use structured content rather than individually designed pages, so the team can publish updates while preserving the layout and visual system.

Planning for future recruitment technology

The website structure also leaves room for a future applicant tracking system or CRM. Integration can follow once Bantu selects its preferred recruitment tools, allowing the agency to make that decision separately from the website launch.

The Results

Bantu now has one recruitment website that presents its established Australian operation, growing African presence and expansion into the Middle East. Candidates and employers have distinct routes, while regional teams have dedicated space within a shared brand and content structure.

  • Three regional sections within one website, rather than separate sites to maintain.
  • Dedicated candidate and employer journeys with clear next steps.
  • A structured vacancy experience from discovery to application.
  • Regional application routes intended to reduce misdirected enquiries.
  • An editable WordPress CMS for vacancies, regional pages and Insights.
  • A foundation for ongoing search-focused content and later recruitment-system integrations.

The redesign gives Bantu a structure it can build on as it adds vacancies, services, sectors and regional content, without redesigning each new page from scratch.
